• Weekly meetings at Jan's on Thursdays at 6:30am:

  • 3/6:  Optimist funding check presentations and brief remarks:  Cam Torrens from Central Colorado Writers, and Bryan Leuenberger from the homeschool group that runs Destination Imagination. 

  • 3/13:  Liz Morgan, Director of the BV Chamber of Commerce.

  • 3/20:  J. David Holt, discussing his research on Jane Kirkham website, and to tell us about his children's book.

  • 3/27:  Cecelia LaFrance, Director of BV Public Library, to provide update on building project.

April

• Weekly meetings at Jan's on Thursdays at 6:30am:

  • 4/3:  Ashley Parsons from "Mini-Hooves - Kind Hearts" summer camp

  • 4/10:  Savannah Moorefield, FYI, to discuss their programs for children in the community.

  • 4/17:  Chaffee County Sheriff, Andy Rohrich, and undersheriff, Alex Walker.

  • 4/24:  BVHS students to talk about prom and after prom?

• Saturday, 5/3:  Collegiate Peaks Trail Run.

• Wednesday, 5/28:  Pancake breakfast for 6th grade Conservation Camp and counselors at BVMS parking lot.

• Weekly meetings at Jan's on Thursdays at 6:30am:

  • 5/1:  Planning meeting for Collegiate Peaks Trail Run.

  • 5/8:  BVHS Industrial Arts teachers Shawnee Perez (metals) and Corbin Bennetts (woods) to talk about how the Optimist funds are used, and to promote the Creative Arts Fair.

  • 5/22:  Scholarship winners - to meet the group?
